The new manager - looking for best practice solutions

Wouldn’t it be sweet if there was a theme selecter for the manager template. This could be set for each user.
The default classic, The MadeMyDay... and so on.

That way I think you satisfy both office clients and artistic webdesigners.
Then I definitly had to learn to do my own...

Isn’t that what you do in Manage Users - tab: User via the Security tab on the top left menu in the Manager? Or did I maybe misunderstand your question?

I am sorry, I think I missed it too. In the Manage Users I did not find a template option. Also in the manager/templates there is only the Default template. Am i misunderstanding?

One thing I just noticed and had not noticed before is that "modules" don’t exist anymore. Has the module concept been changed? Are components the new modules?

Another thing I also missed was the version information in the top right of the manager. I think that version information should be easy to spot.

Sorry, my mistake. I mixed it with Modx Evolution.

Modules have been deprecated and removed, since they have been replaced by the idea of Custom Manager pages, which are modActions. They are far more flexible. I’ve written a few tutorials on it.

Will revolution ship with a few template options when it hits release status?

I know many people have voiced their support for the current direction of the "look and feel" of the manager in this thread, but it would be good to have options.

Before Revolution goes to RC mode we could hold a competition where people could do their own themes for the manager and then forum members could vote on one or two of them to be included with the finial release as options.

@jeremy. Thanks. Sounds like a good idea. Keep a watch along that vein.

Definitely something worth organizing, great idea
