I don’t mean to be a pest, but could I get the definitive URL for posting 0.9.7 bugs and feature requests on Trac? I’ve got a few more to put up and apparently I’ve been putting them in the wrong place.

You are most definitely not being a pest. Your feedback and testing is greatly needed and appreciated.

You can get to Trac at:

        1. On the elements tab, the file tree at the left duplicates all my categories under every heading. I don’t know if this is a bug in the tree display (like the one in the file manager tree listing), by design, or if it’s because my imported categories are messed up.

        A couple qs:

        1) What revision are you at?
        2) What do you mean by "duplicate"? The current layout is that it will show the category under each type of element (ie, TestCat would show under each - Templates, Snippets, etc) so that you could drag those elements to the proper categories.

I’m with BobRay on this one, it’s annoying clutter most of the time. Maybe there could be a "Categories" folder at the bottom and if you want to drag something you could do it to there? Then only categories with items in them would show for each folder?

I’m not sure what the rev. it. I thought it would be in Reports | system info or help but it’s not there. I downloaded it within the last week.

I was afraid that it was by design when I looked at the categories table and thought about the implications of the new tree display. I have categories called:

            Wayfinder Chunks
            Ditto Chunks
            Every Page Chunks
            My Snippets
            etc.

It’s kind of disconcerting to have My Snippets show up under chunks and templates and Ditto Chunks show up under Templates. I guess it means re-thinking the categories, but the ones I have worked very well for me. Maybe an extra field in the category table could be Type with options for chunk, snippet, template, etc. and a value of 0 meaning "show in all categories"

Also, sub-categories didn’t appear to work either and I thought that was on the roadmap. I can create a two categories, and then drag and drop them so it looks like sub-categories, but the logic behind it doesn’t seem to account for this.

I’m surprised this didn’t happen sooner. I’ve trashed my 0.9.7 site.

I decided I might as well be working with the current build so I did an SVN Update of everything to 3372.

I could log in, but the Manager was unusable in both FF and IE7.

I did an upgrade install (checked the two checkboxes) and got this:

Error upgrading table for class modResource
                Array
                (

                Manager still unusable.

I re-did the build and did another upgrade install and got the same error messages.

Manager even more unusable (the right panel fills the screen - no document tree - no toolbar). If I click on Resources, I can see the resources but can’t edit most of them.

The site is still there and looks the same, so it’s only the Manager that’s hosed. I didn’t try to clear the cache (can’t do it in the Manager and don’t know which cache files are safe to empty). Shouldn’t an upgrade install automatically clear the cache?

Any advice appreciated (before I start to rebuild the site from scratch).

Did you rebuild the transport package before running the upgrade BobRay? And yes, the upgrade will refresh the cache.

I did the second time I ran the upgrade but not the first time.

So ... ran without the rebuild, logged in, did the rebuild, then logged in again.

Is the rebuild required for every update?

And is there any way I can recover now?

Generally rebuild is necessary only if core data objects have changed; but running the upgrade install should fix it...unless the revision is broken for some other reason.
