My apology for another silly question embarrassed How do I export the 0.9.7 from here?
    http://svn.modxcms.com/svn/tattoo/tattoo/branches/0.9.7/

I don’t see export feature from my browsers. Do I need a special software?

    Many thanks!

Yes, you need a svn client (as I was sharply reminded of just the other day when faced with a long list of files in my browser!)

        Thank you again!!!!!!

Oh, I see there is a subversion bundle in Textmate. Anybody knows how it works?

I would suppose they’re all pretty much the same, put in the address and whatever login credentials you need and go for it.

I recommend TortoiseSVN for Windows, and SmartSVN for mac.

I’ve used SVN X on Mac, but it doesn’t handle merges or diffs in it’s gui. http://www.versionsapp.com/ looks interesting but hasn’t hit beta yet.

p/s. To the moderator who moved my post and created a new thread. Sorry and thank you! I will be careful not to ask question in other thread next time smiley

Yeah, I feel much comfortable working with GUI. as working on terminals and unix command lines make me very nervous.

So far, I figured out how to export from Textmate’s subversion bundle. It uses ’checkout’ which I thought is a command for ending a session of a sort. I see Textmate’s version handles merges and diffs. Someone from a listserv gave me this wonderful software last year as she already purchased a copy, and got a free copy later from another software she purchased.

I use it mainly for PHTML and XML files, am glad that I can put the software a better use now.

Sorry, so far I only figure how the ’checkout’ works. I selected it, and it asks for URL, so I enter: "http://svn.modxcms.com/svn/tattoo/tattoo/branches/0.9.7/" thus I was able to export. I think I maybe able to figure the "Diff" and ’revert’ if there is a new update from 0.9.7 branches as they seems quite self-explanatory.

Yes, everything I discover something new from Textmate, I am liking it more smiley
