Revo Gallery Confusion

Hey man, I’ve test to list the albums using GalleryAlbum snippet. The problem is, you cant list the parent which is root. That means you have to make a structure like this:
- ParentName (id=1)
--Album1
--Album2
--Album3
--Album4

Then using the call &parent=`1` will list 4 albums under it. And IMPORTANT: remember to set &showAll=`0` or it’ll list all albums, even that’s a parent album which you probably didnt put anything into.

ok. the &showAll property was a really stupid oversight — it got me a step closer. Now the AlbumRowTpl is pulling the right albums. Now, i set the &parent to the TV and i’m getting nothing at all.... I know i’m almost there. Code:

Try to use the [[+tv.GalleryAlbumListTV]], I think in the Tpl we have to call a placeholder for taking TV value.

I mean at the parent param, I’ve checked it, using [[*GalleryAlbumListTV]] in a resource that you want to show the album list. Remember your album parent must not root parent by using this method. Just like what I’ve posted above, it works for me...

I’m also new here, I’ve just been digging into MODx for my last project for 1 month up to now. I’m also trying to help you out. The problem is your method is not really the same to me, that’s what MODx is, we can finish our target in many ways, sometimes it does make problem, doesnt it?
Ok, let me start again. I hope my E is not so bad...
You have a 3cols template
- COL1: is the list of resources. Each resource we have albumlistTV set.
- COL2: is the list of albums using galleryAlbum, based on albumlistTV which was set on a given resource.
- COL3: is the list of items, will be shown when we click on the album link on COL2.

First you have to setup your gallery:
+ Cat1 (id=1)
---Album1
---Album2
...
+ Cat2 (id=2)
---Album1
---Album2
...
+ Cat3 (id=3)
---Album1
---Album2
...

For example, we have 3 resources test1, test2, test3 which our albumlistTV value set to cat1, cat2, cat3 (actually it will output the id number by default).

At the COL1: sure-thing we can list them by getResources or WayFinder.

At the COL2:

ok. tried your suggestion and included the TV below the galleryAlbum? call. It is pulling the ID of the correct parent album in Gallery: "ID 4". In the second column on the front-end you see the literal number "4" (instead of list of galleries). Clicked, it takes you to the actual resource ID 4, which happens to be a News Post on my site (LOL).

Realized that I neglected to set &prominentOnly value to "0" (none of my active albums are set to prominent). Now the [[*GalleryAlbumListTV]] call is working but it’s still broken. It’s pulling the wrong album from the plugin... sheesh. I’ve checked the TV in the resource multiple times. Code:
