nope didn’t work. i’m going to downgrade (everything but revo) and start from scratch... but developers should keep trying to puzzle this together for anyone who might want to use the latest v of Gallery in this way

Are you upgraded MODx to 2.1.3, because 2.1.2 we have issues on Tag parsing. Try it. About If snippet, I think it’s reliable.
oh. thought i was running the latest... plus didn’t use any tags on images in the dummy gallery (or titles or descriptions — not the problem, before you ask); is it a hassle to upgrade to 2.1.3? I like to have the latest version of everything running.

Just upgrade your MODx to 2.1.3 and try again...and dont use rich-text editor to pass the code on (just a small note, sometimes it’s so small that we’re not paying attention to...). Upgrade to 2.1.3 is simple, you upload all the package then run the setup with upgrade option. Hope it will be fine to you.
upgraded to latest revo. still didn’t work but i made a clutch decision and chose to keep both the album rows and resulting galleries on the same page, segregated into two columns (actually looks pretty damn good esp w lazyload in there, plus neither i nor my client have time for me continue wrestling w that issue). so, moving on to the next step, i’m trying to get the provided GalleryAlbumList TV to work. i need it to display only albums pertaining to a particular resource. each resource will have several albums so i made a few albums, packed them into respectively titled (empty) parent albums and am calling the parent album with the TV within the resource hoping to get all the children to show up neatly for each resource (sort of like a getResources). However, any resource I preview only pulls ALL the albums instead of just the ones within the one selected with the TV. Any ideas? BTW appreciate all the brainpower on my behalf...

Can you post your TV information (input, output, type...)?
Are you using AlbumList to list the albums base on ids given?
Is that structure like:

Thanks. This is what i’m doing. I have many resources, each having many child albums. I have three columns in my setup. The first is the Wayfinder which houses the resources; the second is the galAlbumRowTpl which, of course, houses a list of albums for each resource; and the third is the resulting thumbnail gallery for the clicked album link, which displays larger images via colorbox. My problem is that each resource (clicked in the first column) is picking up EVERY album and outputting to column 2, rather than just the albums designated to that specific resource by the GalleryAlbumList TV (provided with the latest release of Gallery). In the Gallery plugin, I have albums packed into parent albums and am calling the parent album thru the respective resource’s TV, hoping to grab all of its children. However, as I said, the TV grabs each and every album instead. I tried just selecting one child album in the TV and it still gives me every album. The input for the GalleryAlbumListTV is galleryalbumlist (option provided with the TV) and the output is "default" (no other option seems to make any difference). My alternative would be to create my own TV, have the client input the album’s ID# in the resource, and have that passed through a Gallery snippet call in the content, but that’s much too unclean for me (and client). Also, other people have apparently gotten it to work... Any ideas? Thanks again.
