EVO is an ipod touch
REVO is an iphone.
I love my ipod touch!
Mr. Haw,
Great metaphor... nice contrast to my verbose thought!
Bob,
I’ll jump in on that. Warning... Snarky Alert!

What my cohorts see when they log in is.... "nothing"!

Let’s see, you see this thing called, er, "Resources". OK, that’s totally generic, wonder what that means, should I care? And yes, you can click on that TEENY little arrow to expand, but you just have to know!

Above that are all these cute little icons, wonder what they’re for, no words there. Yeah, you can hover over ’em, but still. One positive note - at least when you click on a document, er, resource, it goes into edit mode, at least if it’s a Document, er, uh, Resource?
Gee, I kinda know what "Files" are, but what are "Elements"? Maybe potassium, or sodium? btw, the "Categories" listed under "Elements"... really super weird way of handling those, which I figured out after scratching my head for awhile. I guess that’s living and dying by Ajax.
And yes, I know "Resources" and "Elements" have been with us for awhile. It reminds me of corporate meetings, where everyone has to agree on terminology, so it finally gets watered down into something very imprecise, even if it’s correct in a literal sense. At least it’s less geeky than "Nodes" in Drupal. And it’s actually pretty OK, but again, you just "have to know". [Chris Rock voice for that]
The "suspended in position" Save buttons seems nice, until you’re editing a very long page, and you can’t seem to find the Save button anywhere.
Let’s say you just want to change the name of your site, or change which page is "Home". Hmmmmm... I know it’s somewhere in there.

And when you’re in the System Settings, you have to know to right-click, or you’re dead. Oh, and I torched my whole test site by just trying to remove ".html" from the FURL suffix - instead I deleted an absolutely required Content Type, and could not re-enter it! (I had to manually edit the database)
/End of Snark. Sorry about that! To someone who built the system, or someone like me who has played with it for a LONG time, it’s pretty nice, and fairly easy. But I’m trying to convey what a neophyte sees, hopefully with a touch of humor. There are also reams of good things about Revo.
Cheers
