Broken Thumbnails

I’m still having the problem with the Thumbnails. The resources typo didn’t change anything.

Does anyone know why it adds "assets/resources" to the path?

The link to the thumbnail when it’s broken after opening the document again is: http://www.domain.com/connectors/system/phpthumb.php?h=150&w=150&src=assets/resources/images/homeheader.jpg

phpThumb gets passed a path to an image, so if the path is invalid, phpThumb’s output in invalid too. Why the "assets/resources" bit is passed to the URL I don’t know ... perhaps a systems setting is affecting that or perhaps it’s a bug somehow. Have you checked to see if any system settings contain "assets/resources" as part of their value?

the system settings "filemanager_path" and "filemanager_url" are set to "assets/resources". if I empty the "filemanager_url" key it works. But then if I output the TV on my template I just get "images/homeheader.jpg" instead of "assets/resources/images/homeheader.jpg".

mt85, the problems you are having starting with your comment above at: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,58998.msg336745.html#msg336745 are the problems I am having. Please post a solution if you find one.

I’m sorry, I still don’t have a solution. I’m beginning to think that it’s a bug, but it would be great to get a confirmation.

I came to the same conclusion and was about to file a bug, but it has already been filed: http://bugs.modx.com/issues/3197
Settings that seem to work (copied from the report):
filemanager_path : {assets_path}/files
filemanager_path_relative: false

UPDATE, SPOKE TOO SOON. For some reason, making the above change caused the images to appear, but after closing and reopening a resource, they were gone again.

I believe we have to wait for another solution. I hope this will happen soon.

If you’re comfortable with patching the core, the combination of that config and the two patches attached to bug report seems to have solved it, except in the case of Bruno17’s multigriditems, but that might be an unrelated thumbnail bug.
