if you want to preserve known url by google and netlinking, u must have something similar to virutal aliases. perhaps it s done too

Just a quick update, it looks like this one got bumped to 2.2.0. I'd be happy to help test this out in the 2.2.0-dev nightlies or RCs as it becomes available.
UPDATE:
Thx to @opengeek, the latest commit in 'develop' has added this functionality to core!
A new (optional) "request_method_strict" System Setting was added which takes it a step further by returning error code 404 for URI's using the ?id=x method when FURLs are enabled.
