Package Management: Update behavior question (MODx 2.0.0-pl)

When I attempt to upgrade certain packages (GoogleSiteMap, TinyMCE, GetResources, etc) I sometimes receive a "File not found" error, "package_download_err_create", or other...

I usually notice that the "Installed" status gets changed to "Not Installed" and I can still click the "Install" button to complete the upgrade, however I am not sure what to make of the "file not found" error, especially since some of my prior upgrades only required 1-step to complete the entire upgrade process with no such warning.

When I reviewed the googlesitemap snippet’s property set, I noticed something interesting (see attached)

Could the descriptions in my screenshot (see below) be related to the "File not found" error during the upgrade process, or it is likely something specific to the package/version itself? (Upgraded to googlesitemap 1.2-pl, etc) ...Perhaps these descriptions are just hard-coded placeholders for the actual descriptions to-come?

With this error, I had to force remove the PL-status package via the GUI in order for the original GA-status to show up. I then forced remove the GA-status package and was able to install (not upgrade) without issue. Unfortunately, after the install I started seeing Errors from my snippet call (see below). The weird thing is the SQL is perfectly valid and works when I run against the database directly. I thought perhaps it could be related to a test resource I had in a "secure" context (non-"web"). When I dragged that resource back into the web context, the error went away...only when I placed the resource back into my test "secure" context the error did not resurface. It almost seems like some sort of caching-related issue, but why it surfaced as a result of the Package update I am not sure, let alone how to re-create the scenario :/

Has anyone ran into any similar issues with upgrading packages in MODx 2.0.0-pl?

Hi,

I have the same issue with getresources :

1) version 1.0.0-ga is installed : it works
2) update is available : 1.1.0 pl
3) I launch this update process : the package is not installed (no installation date...)
4) if I try to remove, i must force the remove process
5) I try to reinstall 1.0.0-ga same issue in 3)

Very strange behaviour, is there a way to clean the temp file or maybe the DB ?

The update process should be a killer feature.
But I think it has not been a killer ninja, yet.
