2 differents menu

Hi! Is it possible to do this with Revo:

have a start page where I select 2 links:

and for each link open the same layout but with 2 differents menu

link 1 -> Menu with X buttons
link 2 -> Menu with Y buttons

Is it possible?

Not really sure what your asking but here’s a little thing I’ve started doing to select what menu I want to display on a page which mean’s my new site is running off 1 template.

I basically have 6 pages that each need to display a different right hand menu so I created a tv and set the option value to dropdown menu and have the following in it ( you will have to change the names and values ):

Option Values:


the first of each value is what appears in the dropdown, the second is a chunk that holds my wayfinder calls for each.

I then allowed access to it from the template access tab, Once you have done that you can select the menus from a dropdown list when you create a page, if you need to be able to select 2 menus then just do it as 2 Template variables

I’ve a start page of web site with 2 links: link A and link B

I can assigna TV to each link and open a template that allow me to have menu for link A and menu for link B

... but how Can I manage these TV and the template?

Ok the way to do it is as follows:

Crate a template Variable called menus, select dropdown list menu from the input type and add the following to Input Option Values and select the template to use it on via the tick boxs:

Revolution:


Evolution:


Now create 2 chunks, ( menu1 and menu2 ) and add the Wayfinder call or menu code to them.

Next add your TV call to the template where you want the menu to display:


Revolution:


Evolution:


Now when you edit a document you will be able to select what menu to show on that page.

Next add your snippet call to the template where you want the menu to display:

I’m trying to apply your solution.... but I’ve a problem.

in my template I’ve inserted

[[*Menu]]


I’ve created TV with these values:
Menu1==[[$menu1]]||Menu2==[[$menu2]]

I’ve create 2 chunks Menu1 and Menu2 with HTML of my WayFinder Menu
(the HTML code in template works, I’ve copyed the code in 2 chunks)



When I execute a document I don’t show menu



Remeber this: I’d like to have a solution that allow me to select on a start page (using for example 2 links):

Link1 or Link2

with Link1 I run my site with Menu1
with Link2 I run my site with Menu2


Is this right solution??
