Hey y’all

I set my "Site Start" ID to a specific document ID, in System Settings. But it does not work. I’m getting the default "under construction" page when i browse to my document root.

    What should I do?

This was a Revo 2.0 site, which I migrated to a 2.1 installation.

    Thanks

Did you try clearing the site cache?

Is the new site_start page published?

Do you have any links to the home page with the ID hard-coded into them?

Wherever you’re clicking to navigate to the home page.

Another thing to try is deleting all the files in the core/cache directory.

i did the migration by copying my old 2.0 install to a new folder, then copying 2.1 on top of it, then pointing the 2.1 config file to the same old database that the 2.0 install used. had to make some tweaks to config file to make the site load.

                does that help?

Did you run an upgrade install on the new site. Try that if you didn’t.

just did a simple upgrade (not advanced). it did not fix it.
other thing i notice is that when i do a ’clear cache’ in the manager, the popup window is blank. but if i then close it and clear cache again, then i get the ’clear cache’ progress messages.

Try this: put a link to the new site_start page in the content section of a resource. Preview that resource. See what the URL is when you hover and see where the link takes you.

Home Page

Be sure to use two + signs in the tag (or better yet, paste it).
