Well, glad things are sorted out, I had quite a bit of feedback about this - mostly from community members outside the team by the way. I had a flow of emails and direct messages from french members asking if I had left the modx team after the new site went live. Understandable in my case, I have been pretty much AWOL from the modx community these past few months, struggling with my business and forced to prioritize finding clients and putting work before anything else (ask my girlfriend
).
Anyway, I mentionned it to Ryan yesterday since I began to worry that on top of startling team members, people who knew about collabpad could make the assumption that core team = collabpad team only and it could lead to possible issues with the delicate dynamics of an open source community (it’s not unheard of). I think in any case it would be wise, since CollabPad got the 35k grant and can now be more than ever a catalyst for the "modx offensive" for 2009 (so to speak), to communicate about the award winning biz plan and the new services coming up (hosting, custom dev, a revo distro akin to Acquia for Drupal... etc). Just firing thoughts away here...
