Not feeling much apreciation

At the risk of sounding petty or jumping to any premature conclusions, I feel that the new site shows very little appreciation to the volunteer ’team’ members. I mean even 960 got some glory and what have they done for the community?. Almost seems like effort was made to keep the volunteers out. Is this a sign of the new direction of MODx?

Absolutely not. We had to get the site out and there’s a HUGE list of things to get sorted out including a total update of the team section amongst many other things. I hope you realize that it’s the community and great volunteers like you that make MODx so special. Granted, we could use a few days off from the site at this point tho

Personally, I was happy to be entirely left out of that project (mainly because I didn’t have the time).

I think it’s also important to realize that some projects can be done better and faster by a team of 5 than by a team of 50.

Believe me, dev_cw, everyone here appreciates your tremendous contributions to MODx even if we don’t say so often enough.

I second Ryan’s message.

Things are going like crazy atm, but that doesnt mean we left our actual asset out there.

Yeah.. I also asked via pm already that how one can get his name to the new team page..

I personally like that my name is seen in there as I really feel like part of the team and have used lot of time to help MODx project.. so it’s nice to have some recognition on the team page and I understand what dev_cw means. And I also think that it’s good for the public to see that there are many people working in the project.. Then again, there are people that do not want their name there.. But it should be each own choice within the current team that do they want their name there or not and everyone should have the opportunity to say so.

But it’s cool for me to know that the team page will be updated at some point.. I was also kinda thinking that is MODx Team now just the people that are working with core or bleeding edge and old timers are left out or what’s the deal.. but I’m happy to see that that’s not the case.. well I was 99.9% certain that it’s not like that, would have been very strange thing from this community

I really really like the people that are in our community and especially the thing that MODx project founders / foundation are such down to earth people and give positive output from their self in the forums and all this is the reason I’m here and actively helping MODx even if I haven’t been doing web-related work in my job at a long long time.. Very often I read from the forums that new people to this community praise us for having such a good and positive vibe here and it’s really great that we have been able to keep it up even thought the community has grown alot and keeps growing...

Well I think I’m so off topic now so I better stop.

What I miss on the new site is the section where is listed who are moderator at the modx forums. Will that one come back later?

I’m guessing that the Team site will be similar to what it was before.. So the whole Team will be introduced, moderators of the boards, MODx "ambassadors", and so on.. But that’s just my guess.

We love you all just as much as we always have and we’ll get these oversights resolved and suggestions implemented ASAP; I promise we have not forsaken any of you.

It’ll all get put back in place, but not this week. Time to make up for some lost cycles

And on that note, everyone including Zi needs to get a real photo together. Part of the new rules for listing there.
