Questions about updated forum

I had this reported by Japanese members and upon looking deeply, it seems that SMF intelligently counts the stats upto certain levels, and since those boards do not have posts in them (but in their childs) SMF is probably skipping it altogether.

How I fixed? Not sure but I created empty test topics and stats started to count. But when deleted the topic, it vanished again.

Ok.. but my issue is a littlebit different..

In top level of MODx forums, Finnish subforums show that there are 809 posts and 154 topics, but there is actually 271 posts and 52 posts.

So the toplevel shows too high post and topic count.

An then the other problem is that the last post field doesn’t get updated, but that is possibly solved by creating the "dummy" posts. I can try that.

I just ran a recount and update all topics maintenance. See if that helps if you would please. Thanks!

Didn’t help.. Still shows same (wrong) counts and wrong last post.

I’ll try to create empty posts to each subforum under Finnish subforum that doesn’t have any posts (like Zi said above), and try if that helps..

Well.. I created those "empty" topics to the various subforums, but it didn’t help with the posts counts being wrong and I suppose that it won’t help with the last post field also.. It seems that the content for the last post field isn’t being gathered from the subforums of over 3 or 4 levels deep.. or something like that.

Thanks for digging doze. We’ll take a peek and see if we can figure out what the heck is going on.
