There’s really no history - I just came up with it as I was signing up for an account here as a MODx noob, it’s the first place I’ve used it. It’s rather silly, but what the heck. I liked the double meaning and the fact that it seemed simultaneously cool and ridiculous, so in that way it is a bit of a reflection of me ;-)

No claims of cool here. I usually go by twotaters, blueronin, or mdhender. Mdhender has boring history - it’s the account name for most every UNIX account I have been assigned. I don’t know why but it always seems that the company already has an M. Henderson so the system administrator tosses in my middle initial. Blueronin I picked up as a handle on dial-up BBS’s when I was in Anchorage (though it was bluronin back then to fit into 8 letters). It was inspired by my love of anime combined with the temperature. Twotaters is a nickname from my childhood (I really liked potatoes).

I stopped using twotaters after hearing Jeff Foxworthy’s routine about TaterSalad. I didn’t want anyone thinking that I was a gangster. I’m starting to use mdhender more often, mostly because of comments from Eric S. Raymond and Paul Graham about being an adult

This nick stuck with me since 1996 when i started playing Quake 1 online. I also played a table card game called Magic: The Gathering in which there was a creature card called: Breathstealer. I used it a couple of times and people online started calling me Stealer or Bstealer . A while after that i just used the initials (in style lowerUppercase)
