NewsListing Forum

    Mark I didn’t make a dedicated forum just for NewsListing because that’s a bit overly specific and we need to accomodate as many users and team members as possible in the forum structure. I thought the categorization was a good compromise.

      Normally I would agree. Yet, in this specific case as the amount of time I can dedicate to reading posts decreases, having a single sub forum that I can read at a glance to support NewsListing would be adventageous. Additionally, having moderation priviledges so I can move older (but good smiley ) topics/tutorials in there as well as the occasional misplaced new topic would be beneficial.

        NewsListing is undoubtedly the greatest snippet in the repository (can’t wait to install the latest rev BTW grin ).

        When I read about the MODxPack concept from GreenCore, I thought well NewsListing could be the MODxPack for Blogs and Webzines laugh

        Yet, I like the new subforum structure because it reflects nicely the main areas of interrest of MODx users. Almost every post in the News, Blog and Articles subforum is about NewsListing right now.

        While it might change in the future (with other snippets entering the scene), doesn’t it help you Mark compared to the previous state of things ? I wonder if adding another depth level is practical... though I understand the difficulty of following up with so many posts... Well, not helping much here... just thought I’d add my twocents tongue

        A nice thing would be to have you moderate the News, Blog and Articles subforum, so that you can organize things and make it clearer, it sure is a good idea.

          I’m already have global moderation priveledges so that won’t be a problem wink
