Alot of things have been happening in my life and I have been finding it harder and harder each day to find, read, and respond to topics relevant to NewsListing since they are scattered across the forums. Since SMF does not support anything like auto topic subscriptions (if a topic contains NewsListing add it to my subscriptions list) can we create a NewsListing subforum so I can more easily track NewsListing inquires? This would allow me to check on posts relevant to NewsListing at a glance instead of sifting through all the posts; thus giving me much more time to code improvements. Plus, this would make it much easier for users to find NewsListing info.

I do see your point. This can be either a blessing or a curse for some but for me I think it would certainly ease moderation of this powerful snippet. It’s the most widely used snippet todate (I think).
I would however recommend that it become a sub-forum of the Modules/Plugins forum.

That would only be as useful as our visitors make it. Unfortunately we are likely to see posts on totally unrelated issues in any given forum, and posts that should be in a certain forum are off in Site Showcase or something. But still, in general this would be very helpful for a few of our more heavily-discussed snippets, such as NewsListing, DropMenu and MaxiGallery. And I still think an Ajax subforum would get a lot of use.
I also think it’s a great idea Mark ! The NewsListing thread has become a little cluttered in time, and post have inevitably scattered a little... this will help
