Changing multiple templates?

Did anybody ever bring up the idea of a utility to be able to change a group of document’s templates at once? I seem to vaguely remember something about being able to specify a template for a folder, and all its children would be changed to use its template.

Nice, but right now I have a large number of already existing documents that have to be manually changed to a different template one at a time...with four frames being refreshed between each one!

Again, nice, but again...won’t work in my case. Only some of the documents using old_template are getting changed to new_template.

Do you think it’s time to work our way out by creating a module maybe to do this? Maybe the module will take parent doc id, and all the templates on that doc and all their sub docs will be changed to the set template on the module?

Has anybody started on this module? If not, I’ll give it a go.

When my own website develops, I want to set up different templates for each top level folder on my website - a utility like that would be ideal.
