You know there are many developers that ask to demo their CMS at opensourceCMS but when their site require a login to download their CMS, guess what their CMS will not be demo there.
The reason MODx is demo at opensourceCMS because I am member of this team so this is an exception to the norm.
And frankly chanh, I glad it is an exception since I discovered MODx through opensourcecms
I think Susan is right, we’re losing people here. That’s not so bad right now, I even think it’s the right way to manage the community’s growth by making a selection. Most people not wanting to register are more likely to be there to "take" and right now you still need some "givers", e.g real contributors.
"Takers only" can kill a new community and drag givers down if there is too big a discrepancy... I guess the right way to go about this is keep going on like this till 1.0 comes out.
