Beta testing of new Ajax File Manager

Thanks for sharing, MadeMyDay! Definitely will take a look at it and see how well of a fit it could be for MODx. You never know...might just be the solution that could change my mind.

Just took a look at the KFM thingie and...well...don’t really like it. I don’t think it’s a good fit for MODx. The overall design isn’t all that great. Now, something like this particular Ajax file browser (http://sourceforge.net/projects/ajaxfb/) might be worth looking at. The trick is to have something that is well designed and extremely simple to use. I’d rather have something that is highly simplistic and dummy proof rather than something that has every feature under the sun.

The main advantage imho is the possibility to add tags to images. What I like to see in the future of MODx would be an image database where you can easily browse your images/files. With that it would be possible to add the description/tilte/tags right at the upload and set them as placeholders in the templates on one hand and on the other you could search through these fields in the backend/Editor Popup... Just dreaming
