MODx 0.9.1 rev 609 (internal testing)

Menu 4 DOES NOT WORK IN FF!

I’ve fixed everything listed in my last post except the IE slideDown stuff, I decided to stick with fading. The one last issue that I know of seems to be with the descriptions for the editor. In FF clicking on the content title below the toolbar will pop out the description, but it doesn’t really work in other browsers it seems.

The editor’s look has been updated. Please let me know what you think and if it looks weird in any of your browsers.

So far I’ve tested FF 1.5, Opera 8.5 and IE 6 and they all look good.

P.S. I havn’t figured out a good way to get configuration parameters to upgrade niceley, I’ll have to work on it. For now you’ll want to edit your Editable fields configuration in the QuickEdit module to the list below.

See Bravado’s and my exchange on the issue a few posts earlier.

I think we’re going to have to take care of some notices again in this release. I turned on stopOnNotice and noticed (no pun intended) that some had crept back in. There may even be some in QE, I’ll have to take care of some of the others before I can test it.

Okie dokie! I think I’m finished with the updated menu for the manager. I’ve tested it for any javascript or CSS problems in the following browsers:

Firefox 1.5 (XP and OSX)
IE 6 (XP)
Netscape 6 (XP)
Opera 8.5 (XP)
Konquer (KDE 3.4)
Safari (OSX)

The bitch part was getting Opera to work! Turns out that Opera freaks whenever the script hides all the submenus and uses the Scriptaculous Appear effect to make the chosen submenu fade in. When that happens, Opera collapses the main menu item so that the menu item directly to the left of it overlaps it. Weird ass bug if you ask me! No wonder I hate Opera! So...I just put in a little line that detects Opera and doesn’t use the fade in effect if it is. Other than that, I think it’s safe to integrate in the menu now. I’m in the process of adding in the changes and, once I’ve done another round of testing, I’ll commit it to the trunk. Goodie!

In your Adventures with FF 1.5 on OS X, did you by any chance check the template select in the document editing page in the manager?
