Pre 3.2 release bug testing files

Now I’m confused...which of these zip files is the 3.2 "alpha" version? I’m not working on my usual machine, so I don’t have svn available (too lazy to set up the whole thing on this machine).

By the way, any general ideas on timeframe for TP4? I was wondering just how attached to the 3 versions I should get.

Susan... I’m updating the ZIP file in the first post on this thread as they’re available. It’s the latest export from the trunk (only missing the latest changes to permissions with your backup manager).

As far as TP4 goes, it’s literrally a ground-up rewrite of the entire manager and much of the API. Lots of merging and simplification of things is taking place to meet that referenced description. From what I’ve seen to date, it’s grossly exceeding my wildest hopes for where we’d be today. I’ll get back to this thread after checking with Travis and trying to wrangle some information out of him... but TP4 will essentially have shed all vestiges of it’s Etomite roots without question.

OK... here’s an update of the status for the preview of TP4:

There are three remaining "big" things to complete:

1) Permissions -- merging web and admin users into a unified system that maintains  the flexibility of the current system, but uses only one set of API calls and tables (Less is more!)
Effort requred: 3/10
Percent done: 50%

2) Tree menu -- putting it back in to be used for setting parents and so on
Effort requred: 5/10
Percent done: 75%

3) Document manager -- a hybrid tree menu/file manager/multi-document statistics viewer that allows you to see info about and apply bulk operations to mulitple files even if they’re not in the same directory.
Effort requred: 7/10
Percent done: 10%

Regarding the 3.2 release, I think we should also look at changing the default .htaccess file to not make as many assumptions about server configuration. Ideally we can move some of this part into the installer, but that can be a TP4 thing I guess. Anything else we should consider?

When using the advanced FCK editor, the fronteditor window shows not all of the tools:


and the window is not scalable to show the rest

Somehow the path to the resourses are tot working I do not get to my image dirs and also not to the flash dir etc
I see the names in the pulldown but I do not see the files

notice that this is a update made on pre 3.1 and not a clean install I did overwrite all the files.

In FF it works fine while testing this i found out that in FF the images does show up while in IE its not working (in the resource browser that is) weard...

Dimmy, what OS and browser are you using? Also, what screen resolution are you using as well? I’ll look into it a bit further and see what’s up.
