As said by PM to Banzai, I had the same idea a while ago and I’m owning the modxshowcase.com domain.

I hope you (foundators) don’t mind about this.

Perhaps we could use this one which is much international.

heliotrope is helping me for a ditto Most voted (star rarting) page.

Now we have:

- Submit form (works with a mod of NewsPublisher)
- ratings (star rating snippet)
- tags (works with tag links snippet)
- tag cloud (works with tag cloud snippet)
- categories (ditto tags)
- categories menu with rss (works with a little mod of tag cloud snippet)
- user submitted sites page (ditto)
- screenshots (works with websitethumbnail.de service)
- comments (jot snippet)
- save to bookmark (SocialBookmark chunk)

This site is a great thing for MODx, it has great funcionality but the design it’s not the best. With a little work modx.it (nice trick to get interesting domains) could be part of the group of official MODx sites.

I’ve used Websnap, but seems very very slow..
sometimes 24 hours with "quequed" message

Now i’m using antiviper.net snapshot service, but needs a credit link

I’ve found a php script for snapshots http://www.boutell.com/webthumb/ , but seems not work for me ...or I’m unable to use it

I think having a MODx site directory is something we need to get out there. Banzi, if you need a hand finishing this up on anything related to PHP (Ditto, tagging, etc.) PM me.
