Just a quick update for everyone. Based on some things I discussed with Ryan, I’m sort of starting from scratch on this. The layout and design will pretty much stay the same...but in the process of working on this, I’ve found that the core HTML code really needs to be seriously updated. So...I’m going in and redoing the code quite a bit and hopefully will get it in a much more manageable state. Everything from stripping down the CSS file down to the core, replacing as many tables with DIVs as possible, and even integrating the top two bars in the manager will be done. Also, I’ll probably get some help from Ryan on replacing the coolbuttons as well. There are alot of areas I’m targeting and I’ll try and post what I’ve changed from time to time. Everything I’m doing will be posted to my trunk so you can catch a glimpse of what I’ve already done. From there, I think we’ll have the manager’s HTML code in such shape to where we’ll have a much easier time getting rid of the frames after that. Not only that but we’ll have a branded manager that fits the MODx theme.

How’s the going with the Manager Styles?
It’s going pretty good. I’ve redone the code for the login and topbar though I do need to go back and do some tweaking. Right now, I’m working on the document tree to get it in better shape as far as the HTML goes. The main thing I’m doing is pulling out all the direct references to images and replacing them with global style variables that can be reference by the style itself. Should make using custom icons and such much easier.

Btw, I really don’t think I like the All green icons. Kinda prefered the onces you had before. But that’s just me.
I’m actually incorporating the Silk icons that Ryan suggested to me (
http://www.famfamfam.com/lab/icons/silk/). So far, I can see how these can be incorporated in very easily into the manager.
