thanks for the info...I tried my hands at &ph parameter. But I am still stuck with my problem.

You suggested to take 10 Tvs but even that wouldn’t solve my problem.
Because the problem is in my chunk my.OuterTpl where I have used [*pagtitle*] which is the name of the head title of my menu.Everytime this chunk is called all what gets displayed as the head title is the pagetitle of document from which I called wayfinder. But I want the head title to be the pagetitle of the document which I pass as the starid in the wayfinder call. I think I am getting a bit confused and so is everybody reading this.Am I clear in my question?? undecided

Can you post a link to the snippet that is working correctly? you say you want to load that snippet menu into another page but it is changing the title because the way you have your OuterTPL setup.

So lets say the working snippet is in a page called Test 1 the menu will display the Test 1 in the [+pagetitle+] position it’s working correctly here because it’s in the page where you want it.

The problem is if you call that snippet in a page called Test 2 is will get that pages title and apply to the menu, so in essence the template is doing what you told it to, if I understand correctly you want to call that snippet in another page but you want it to retain it’s original [+pagetitle+].

I think you need to use getParent and specify that snippets parent and tell it to get the title and place it where you currently have the [+pagetitle+].

You could try to use the parameter [tt]&displayStart[/tt] .
Let’s assume you want to see the menus of the ressources 22, 44 and 55 on one page, write one Wayfinder call for each of them into this page:
[!Wayfinder? &startId=`22` &displayStart=`TRUE`!]
[!Wayfinder? &startId=`44` &displayStart=`TRUE`!]
[!Wayfinder? &startId=`55` &displayStart=`TRUE`!]
If [tt]&displayStart[/tt] is set to TRUE, Wayfinder uses the template parameter [tt]&startItemTemplate[/tt] . By default this is

[+wf.linktext+]
[+wf.wrapper+]
You can modify it to your needs, but don’t omit [tt][+wf.wrapper+][/tt] which guarantees the display of the menu items.

thanks a lot for your replies.. I solved my problem by making one intermediary chunk where I was to keep that [*pagetitle*] thing, but in place of that I used [+wf.title+].Now it’s working fine. smiley
