    Hi,

    I am using wayfinder snippet for vertical menu creation

    First of all I made the &outertpl chunk named my.OuterTpl

    <div class="verticalmenu">
     <div class="roundedBoxHeader">[*pagetitle*]</div> <!--this is the head title of the vertical menu-->
                <div class="roundedBoxContent">

    [+wf.wrapper+]
    </div>
    </div>

    After this I made the &rowtpl chunk named my.InnerRowTpl:
    <div class="menu">
      <a href="[+wf.link+]" title="[+wf.title+]"><em>[+wf.linktext+]</em>
      </a>
    </div>

    Here is the wayfinder snippet call:
    [!Wayfinder?startId=`some pageid`  &outerTpl=`my.OuterTpl`   &rowTpl=`my.InnerRowTpl` !]

    THE PROBLEM:

    I want to call all my vertical menus which I created on another page. For that I think I should call each menu separately.

    But when I do it the head title of all the vertical menus called become the same obviously because in my my.OuterTpl chunk I have used the placeholder [*pagetitle*], so the pagetitle of the page on which I call all the vertical menus through wayfinder snippet calls becomes the head title for all the vertical menus.

    I want the head title of the vertical menus to be the way it should be ..

    please help...

      [*pagetitle*] is not a placeholder, but [+wf.title+] would be.

          I’m don’t really understand what you’re trying to do, but did you try [+pagetitle+]?

            I just want a vertical menu created with wayfinder snippet( which I already created) to be displayed on some other page also.

              The head title will always be determined by the startId parameter (i.e., what’s in the TV on that particular page).

              If that’s not working, double-check the spelling of the TV name and the content of the TV on that page. Make sure the TV type is set to text or number and the display to default.

              You may have to hard-code the number into the TV rather than using a tag because the tag may not be parsed in time.

                Ok...actually I am interested in showing 10 different vertical menus on the same page, in that case how should I set the head title?

                  Offhand, I’d say you need 10 different TVs, unless they all have the same startId. Does the menu at the site in my sig. look anything like what you want? That’s done with a single Wayfinder tag.

                    Where is your site? I couldn’t find it.
                    One more thing , while searching the web I came across a ’&ph’ paramater of wayfinder snippet which they say displays the output of wayfinder call. I tried it but not working, can you tell me it’s usage and what’s it about?

                      You can reach my site by clicking on the link at the bottom of this post.

                      The &ph parameter puts the output of the Wayfinder call into a placeholder rather than returning any output.

                      So with &ph=`MyMenu`, this tag would display the menu in Evolution:

                      [+MyMenu+]]

                      or for Revolution:

                      [[+MyMenu]]
