List MODx in major script listing services

Gotta expect stuff like that in an open project like this...I’m sure whoever it was meant well.

Okay, back on listing MODx on major script listing service.

I have created an account at hotscripts, freshmeat and phpresources index with the same login (modx_tattoo) and password (ezm59suq). I used my email in the meantime, but it might be better to have a dedicated mailbox for this.

Here is what I plan to do in the next two weeks :

1) Validate the summary/tagline/description/informations to be posted (pretty easy since we have well rounded material there )

2) Identify other script listing service worth adding MODx to, and submit. As for the
Feature list thing on opensourcecms.com, good idea, just have to know if Chanh takes care of this or if I handle this too (and if so, which login/pass I should use).

3) Identify where MODx has been added by someone outside the Team, check information and have it corrected. We already know about cmsmatrix and softpedia.

4) Identify who can handle and manage this for script listing service in other languages : most probably the language file maintainer or suforum moderators (TBD). Send them the Summary/Tagline/Description and feature grid for translation.


As for the summary/tagline/descriptions we have the following versions :

The XHTML, CSS and Ajax Content Managment Framework, MODx is more than just a PHP/MySQL CMS. It makes building XHTML/CSS designs easy, allows you to leverage Web 2.0 techologies, and provides a killer platform on which to build custom web applications.

The reason that project description is there because I’ve just requested the modxcms project at Sourceforge.net.

You know, it’s getting to the point where it would be something to consider if we have anybody who works with Postgresql to make a wrapper class for it to go with the MySQL wrapper class. And even a MS-SQL wrapper might be useful in expanding the userbase.
