List MODx in major script listing services

Hello All !

Its discussed here that we have to submit MODx link to major Script listers such as HotScripts and Freshmeat !

So, please use this thread to input your comments and also if you can post links to good script listers. also it would be great if you post the submission process of each.

Below is the list of initial findings and their Submition rules:

FreshMeat.net needs registeration.

HotScripts.com needs registeration.

A couple more. I’m not really fond of Scripts.com...but the PHP Resource Index is a pretty good one.

Of course the big question is...who’s going to be responsible for keeping these sites updated? What I think would be a really good idea is to have a global user/pass combo for all the sites...maybe a username like "modxcms" or something. That way a few of us can keep tabs and register and/or make changes to existing entries instead of just one person.

This is a job for the marketing team for sure. Or I might do it.

Yeah! Let them do it, the lazy bastiches!! LOL!! J/K!

But, yeah, I’d probably make them the primary recipients for this...but still keep the login/passes global. At least that way you, Ryan, myself, or anyone on the dev team can make a change or add a new resource here and there so long as they pass that info on to the marketing team. Gotta keep the channels of communication open ya know! Plus, should the marketing team change, we won’t have any problems with login/passes on a specific site since they’ll all be the same.

After we get 3.3 out, I’d really like to push forward with this I think.
