It's about to begin

I suspect next week the OpenSourceCMS.com interview will be published. At that time, I’d suspect a spike in traffic. It’d be good to give modxcms.com a good looking over and think about what other sections make sense. News comes to mind. Spread the word does too. What other changes should we make?

What about a downloads section in the menu on top of the downloads button. I found myself looking for a download link there before I saw the button. Also under that section we could have an area for downloading pugins, snippets, etc. It could be a good idea to have a changelog there too.

I think it would be good to have screenshots somewhere too. That’s one of the first things I always look for since I tend to be a very visual person.

What about a demo site? I understand it can be a pain to have one ourselves but if opensourcecms has one we could at least link to that when the time comes.

I think it could be good to have a showcase area also, maybe under community somewhere. Some place where we could have a list of sites that use MODx.

If I think of anything else I’ll let you know.

1. "Spread the word" stuff must be alive by that day !

2. A sleek news system, containing some near-old events and some near future events, to make the nes page bit content-rich.

3. Some nice icons/pics in documentations , for top-level pages i mean..... (I am producing some idea into real world, expect results soon)

4. < li> bullets must be set here http://www.modxcms.com/web-users-web-groups.html , instead of these black default bullets.

5. A LOGO !!!!! (most important)

I completely agree on those needs. The download area / file repository is going to be a big one.

Personally, ratings don’t turn me on, but they do seem quite popular with the usual end user.

I agree, which is why I wrot 50/50 on that one.

Just today, I bought some books through amazon and needless to say the comments were helpful and more than likely influenced my decision. good and bad on this!

I’ve been without puter for a few days...just got another new laptop.
