anyone other than me think it might be a good idea to pull the form out of accesscontrol.inc.php for tech preview 2. This would make it easier to custom-style the manager login page.

Why would we want to do that? Wouldn't this make it easier for users to simply rebrand the CMS and remove the GPL license information?

Of course it would make it more simple, but it also makes it more simple for people to control the application in general. I'm not so worried about the bad deeds of a few compared to the benefits of making it easier for legitimate developers to develop nice warm fuzzies about the product.
