I keep learning more and more about MODx due to your support.
I found that I needed to comment out these 2 lines in the .htaccess file >
#php_flag zlib.output_compression On
#php_value zlib.output_compression_level 5
Which lead me to the fact that I had not input the url where is says www.example.com. Duh!
