I went to the validate page and entered my home page URL... do I need to do anything else? Repeat for all the sub-domains, etc?

If you use firefox get this: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/249 it validates pages as you go.

Otherwise you would need to enter per site per page depending on the level of validation you want to do. I use the above and validate everything as I go.

Oh, and keep in mind we all started somewhere so don’t worry about asking questions if you don’t know.

Good design. I like the colors. As is, the fonts are nice and readable, but be careful with white copy over dark backgrounds and gradients. I can read them now, but I bet my dad can’t.

I’d also try to make the Navigation more prominent.

Restaurant web marketing: good idea. Some restaurants’ web sites are real turnoffs - makes one wonder what their kitchens look like. Restaurant owners - some simply are not restaurateurs - do no realize that they are not in the food business (food is something you get at the supermarket), they are in the entertainment industry and should have the image to reflect it. Hope you’ll be helping out a lot of restaurants.

Re you site, agreed with above post that your menu could be clear. Also, you may want to reconsider reverse-type color on text - see useit.com for much more on effective layout design.
