And what does "proper caching" mean?
Thank you mrhaw.
From your links it seems to me, that it boiled down to an old question about number of docs, wich is now obsolete, becauce of a brand new caching system.
The answer to my question, wether Modx might be a better solution than Joomla, stil seems to be vauge.
Is Joomla the best choice, comrades ;-)
The Answer was at the very end: R E V O L U T I O N
If you have a working solution with Joomla, stick to it. I hate Joomla but
I love the freedom of choice!
To nail it down, with Joomla you can do stuff easily, with MODx you can do it YOUR way!
Thanks again for you quick response.
So you mean to say, Modx is a good choice with the new caching posibilities, but lacks Joomlas plentitude? And when I dont need that, when I only need to show docs, text with a single pict sometimes and that is it, but a lot of them, Modx with the right caching system would obviously be the best.
I started out with Joomla and even bought a book, then I installed MODx... What’s different
with MODx, is that you decide how much you want to integrate the functionality of it into your
design and code. Not the other way around. This is the main reason why its easy to get nice
SEO with MODx. But to tell the truth, you will need to be a geek and not be afraid of learning
to adjust PHP and "get your hands dirty". But if you choose the red pill there is no turning back!
