I worked with Chad Lawson (cmlawson / chadconnects.com) on this site.
Nice! How is the calendar done?
Wayfinder for the top target links.
Ditto for the listings.
like so
[[Ditto? &parents=`number for calendar` &depth=`1` &tpl=`calendar-list`]]
Then in calendar-list
<h1>[+pagetitle+]
[[Ditto? &parents=`[*id*]` &tpl=`each-event` ]]
Very nice. The entire series of sites was great, thanks for sharing.
I see you used noConflict with this site. You used the var $j = jQuery.noConflict(); method. I have never used this one. Is there a reason why you used this method? I usually use the jQuery.noConflict($); but also use the jQuery.noConflict(); and use jQuery instead of the $ like jQuery(’#slider’). I have no idea what is correct or if there is even one way that is better than the other. There is very little discussion on this (besides the page fro the jQ site). I would like to know which is the best method and why.
Great looking site. I especially like the Calendar.
cw,
I use foxycart a lot, and they use $j = noconflict. So im just used to it that way. If i was doing this today tho, I would use
var $j = jQuery.noConflict();
$j(document).ready(function($){
//i can use the dollar sign natively here
});
i just use no conflict in case use ajaxsearch etc. saves a headache.
