    assets/js/ indeed.

    If you’ve got a pure CSS driven menu then I’d be of assistance; all bets are off when it comes to me and JS though.

      Here’s the Wayfinder ie .css file from bobsguides.com.

      It did finally work with ie6 although I haven’t checked it lately:

      .menu ul li a.hide, .menu ul li a:visited.hide {
      display:none;
      }
      .menu ul li a:hover ul li a.hide {
      display:none;
      }
      .menu ul li a:hover {
      color:#fff;
      background:#337799;
      }
      .menu ul li a:hover ul {
      display:block;
      position:absolute;
      top:30px; left:0;
      width:144px;
      }
      .menu ul li a:hover ul li a.sub {
      background:#6a3;
      color:#fff;
      }
      .menu ul li a:hover ul li a {
      display:block;
      background:#ddd;
      color:#000;
      }
      .menu ul li a:hover ul li a ul {
      visibility:hidden; /* keeps third-level flyouts from appearing in main dropdown */
      }
      .menu ul li a:hover ul li a:hover {
      background:#aacccc;
      color:#000;
      }
      .menu ul li a:hover ul li a:hover ul {
      display: block;
      visibility:visible;
      position:absolute;
      left:144px;
      top:0;
      color:#000;
      }
      /* these are mine */

      .menu ul li a:hover ul li a:hover ul.left {
      left:-144px;
      }

      .menu ul li.active, .menu ul li.active:hover {
          color:red;
              background-color:black;
      }

      .menu ul li.active a, .menu ul li.active a:hover {
              background-color:black;
          color: red;
      }

      .menu ul li ul li.active a, .menu ul li ul li.active a:hover {
              background-color:black;
          color: red;

      }

        Hmmmm, when I read about csshover.htc, that sounded like just what I needed. Unfortunately, it seems to have no effect at all on my old test machine that still has IE6 on it.

        Just to double check and see if I did it wrong, here’s the code I used -- added after other CSS files in the head section and before the JS files:

        <!--[if lte IE 6]>
          <style type="text/css">
           body {behavior: url(/assets/js/csshover.htc);}
          </style>
        <![endif]-->

        Oh well, maybe i’ll try to adapt Bob’s ie.css file tomorrow...

          Depending on your version of MODx, I believe that should be csshover2.htc; at any rate that’s what is in my /assets/js folders in the sites I have on my localhost these days.

            Looks like csshover.htc is designed to handle "hover" and "active," while csshover2.htc adds coverage for "focus." In any case, still no joy -- same result as before. :~(
