    http://www.pinetech.edu/

Built on MODx through and through, took a long while, but is rocking well, anyone curious how we did anything, let me know.

    We did these cool things:

    Ditto XML feed for slideshow
    Ditto XML feed for google
    Tag based course content
    RSS syndication from blogspot

The staff updates it, so content is not me / us ... but we’re quite proud of it!

Wonderful site. It’s good to see a new EDU using MODx.

How have the staff responded to using MODx for editing? Were there any training challenges?

Good work. I’d be interested to know how you put the site together. What snippets you’re using and what was your implementation for the client to have an easy-to-update site...and so on. Very nice.

The Marketing Director tells me every time we talk that he loves not having to go through IT to get edits done smiley In short he LOVES IT! To be fair I think this is his first CMS experience.

For everyone else I’m opening up our dev site to you guys to dig through and learn from it.

On that note, I have an idea, we should build a list of "open demo sites" so we can all learn from each other. I’m sure I’ve done things that can help others, and I know I’ve seen you guys do things I’d love to get a look at.

Erm, Neon_eddy, I do admire your openness but with full admin access like this it would be trivial to hijack your server and turn it into a spam relay. Or worse. Not that I’d do anything of the sort of course, but this forum gets Googled so it’s only a matter of time before some script kiddie comes calling.

Love the site by the way.

If that happens we’ll take it down.. I figured why let this info go to waste. Each account is sandboxed anyway. I’ll run it by my admin anyway.

I’ve got my guest account with a very restrictive role. Guest users can see almost everything (no file manager access, for example) but can’t change anything. Its been reasonably active for quite a while now with no problems.
