Fancy Blog made with MODx

Great site! I particularly like the the transparency effects and fixed background. Is this yours too - http://pixelpark.de ?
Love it.

No ... would be nice, but it is not. In the section "Sehenswert" we post other sites we like.

Lovely site, great work!

Not my cup of tea but the style is really well executed.

There are some sketchy IE PNG hacks or conditional commenting to at least to make it legible for <=IE6 users.

Where is this ModX showcase that has been mentioned? I can’t find a link to it anywhere. . .

I know and I already used them. But since this is not a commercial website I took the freedom to build it free from IE6 scrap and hassle. Besides: I really think people should update and get a modern browser. IE6 was released 2001 and in terms of the web that is a looooong time!

Hi Bogdan, I loved the site, adding it to an upcoming Gallery post for MostInspired.com
Showing some love for some other sites using transparency namely:

Thanks for the heads up here, I will apologize to IE6 users, and explain, the world has moved on ...time to upgrade.
MI is a designer blog for designers.
Transparency takes the web to a new level, and IE6 work-arounds never did cut it.
On a client site well, transparency is cutting edge.
I think it’s funny even designers myself included have to install some wizardry software to be able to run the crappy old IE6, and not so crappy IE 7-8.
Not trying to flame anybody about mentioning IE6 it was a super valid point, that i had thought of but forgotten.
I’ve put off transparency experimentation in my own designs forever now.

as my german is ways off better than my denglisch: feine Sache das - wirklich schön

Thanks Spackko!

I had many requests for an english version of the blog so I decided to translate it, here it is:

Hope you like it,

I must say this is a very beautiful design with great use of PNGs. Nice job!
