I have crystaltech as my host for where I am using revolution.
No Mysql provided by them. I am going to do the live chat option just to get it done.

cool. I’d even mention to them that you’re trying to install Modx... they might be aware of other things that need to be modified... like PHP stuff.
They don’t do any modx installations. I left this host with my main site because of their lack in a lot of services.
My new host, ipage, has been great for Evolution, but their php 5 version is not compatible with revolution so I am using the space I have on my older hosting for learning and testing.
So, back to the question I had though...
I am in mysql and have all of the tables there. Where and what do I change to give the permissions?

mine just had an "edit" button where I could do it... maybe someone else here can help. I’m guessing it’s different for every hosting company.
SOLVED
I used the live chat with my host instead of messing with mysql admin.
They got it done for me and the install went through after that.
If anyone does have instructions on how to do it yourself with mysql, it would be great to see how.
