    It was long, long overdue, I have been meaning to redesign my professional website for several months now but lacked the energy to add this on top of my client’s website... after 3 weeks vacation, energy up and fresh mind and bam, 3 days to create the new website (content + looks) !

    It’s powered by MODx 0.9.6 and while it still lacks some sugar coating and I didn’t clean up the code at all yet, but the basics are there...

    As usual, I count on you to spot weak areas, browser issues and general feedback !
    Thanks smiley

    Ah and (it can help) the adress : http://nodeo.net

      Nice site David!

      I noticed an issue, the 3rd white section (Notre philosophie......) is overflowing to right side, checked in ie7, ff2.

      keep up the good work.

        David,

        I love the colours and the layout! My French is not great but I can work my way around to what I am looking for.

        Design comment

        The action bar doesn’t align with anything. It seems to me that the site nav, logo, action bar and body copy all should align at the left. It looks now to have a jagged or accidental margin.

        See the attached caps. The first is your layout with a box showing what I mean (same in Fx and IE7) and the second is what it might look like fixed.

        Cheers,
        Jay

            Alignment is everything wink

            Looks good.

            The only thing I noticed was in the footer section ’Dernières réalisations’ there is a rollover thimbnail effect. On my screen (am on the laptop this morning) the thumbs go off the bottom anf in trying to scroll down to view them it loads the next thumb so I can only see half of the thumb. Hope this make sense. BTW - I am on FF on OSx.

                It’s funny how you can miss some important things when you have you head in a design... yes alignement is everything (now that would make a great name for a webdesign web site wink )

                Yeah I’ve seen that, the default css for snapr needs some tweaking I guess, I’ll take care of that thanks !

                Great compliment coming from you, Dr grin
                Thanks !

                I hope it helps me get some more contracts and keep on the freelance gig !

                Edit : It would seem the "preview bubble" jumping is not caused by a particular browser but rather by the fact it cause the scroll bar to appear and disappear...
                For the moment I had to use a hack to prevent this :

                html {
                    height: 100%;
                    margin-bottom: 1px;
                }

                Anyone knows of a better solution to fix the jumping created by right scrollbar, while I am here ?

                  I see vertical + horizontal scrollbars everywhere, in FF + IE7 / Win, even at 1920 x 1200 px.

                    I too am in 1920 x 1200px. As described above, I use a hack to have the vertical scroll and the horizontal is a "side effect" of the 100% width elements I guess... I’d have to check that...

                      Okay it would seem the horizontal scrollbar is due to the 100% design + use of absolute positionning... since I can afford to be a bit lazy on this one I just added :

                      html { overflow-x: hidden;}

                      Not so elegant but it seems to work...

                      Also, I switched from the previewbubble script to this one which is apparently much cleaner (and with a fade in effect on top) : no more flicker/jump ! Contrary to the official previewbubble, CSS is provided and can be tweaked smiley
