I think it’s too dark.
Eepesialy contact form,
It’s dificult to see form’s fields, unless you have bright monitor

Thanks for the reply, it was a conscious decision to make every element except the navigation and illustrations quite understated, obviously drawing attention to the most important element, the work.

I may have gone too far with the contrast though, I will look into it.

I like it. Nice big buttons and simple to get around. I like the contrast with the gray and yellow.

The one thing that bothered me was that the "view my work button" is ’selected’, or yellow, on the home page so I thought that I had already see the work page and only at the end did I think to click it again to discover the actual work page. Just an observation, nothing critical.

I hear you, I did play with the idea, originally it was as the other buttons were, but without a button selected it kind of lost the balance of yellow and black.

I know exactly what you mean though.

I’ve got a hardware-calibrated LCD, so I love the subtlety myself.

However there is a z-index problem on the lightbox popup that can be seen in the blogs when you click the illustrations to see a larger version... they pop under the transparent gray layer.

Yikes, will take a look. Is it a common problem, or perhaps one I have added

Nicely done.

I would add some brightness to contact form so i can be seen easily , or make the form labels bigger and brighter.
