    Hi everyone!

Farm Visuell is a small Norwegian web and graphics design bureau specializing in full service internet and graphics design solutions. Our site is finally starting to come together with the help of MODx. Took about two months, hundreds of cups of coffee and allot of good help from this forum.

The template is completely custom designed and coded by hand, then ported into MODx. This was the easy part smiley Menu is generated by Wayfinder. The client login system is a modified version of WebLogin. The blog is controlled with the help of Ditto. Flash is embedded with SWFObject for validation reasons.

The code should validate xhtml/css fine and the site should look ok in IE 5.5, 6, 7, Safari 2.0, FireFox 1.5, 2.0, Opera 9.

    And finally, the url: www.farmvisuell.no.

Thanks for all the help and comments are welcome.

    Sincerly,

    Henrik M.

Congratulation with your new site. It looks nice and cleen.  smiley

In Norwegian: Gratulerer med ei fin side. Siden jeg selv bruker MODx, og dere også bruker det, kommer jeg til å anbefale Farm Visuell til de som spør. Som et lite bidrag til å spre kunnskap om MODx til flere norske brukere.
I think, thererfor I am! But what I am, and why...?

Perfect Web2.0-a-like website, not my taste, but it’s perfectly finished.

                What "Web2.0" you see there?

meh, everything seems to get branded "web 2.0"

                  nice site.

The oh-so-famous star-like image in the header, the text in the header is slightly mirrored downwards in the header as well. The kinda overused ’glass look’ on the headers of boxes, such as the login one. Mirrored/fading effects in the PDF text, ’sticker look’ at the right under the header stating something about ’free’ this and that. All elements that are seen as ’Web 2.0’ in the tons of tutorials on the web and are - in my opinion - overrated.

@Doze (under my post); I never said I liked it either, but if you read any user-contributed websites like Digg, Gizzmodo, Reddit etc you’d notice that it is the hype at the moment, and this website seems to fit right into it, which is the reason I made these replies. I don’t like it either, they often look bloated and way too big to be comfortable to read, but it is the name the media give it, so it’s named like that if you ask me.

WTF.. what is "web 2.0" and what happened to 1.0? I have had mirrored images ages ago.. I thought that web 2.0 was something about making it possible for users to contibute to the site content somehow.. or be more in contact with the site other than just browse through.. I don’t know, but it certainly isn’t about images (I hope). I don’t expect getting any more posts about this, atleast in this thread, and I’m sorry for taking this offtopic. And don’t get me wrong, I like that site very much, but there’s nothing about Web2.0 in it..

And just for the record, I hate the term web2.0.. It doesn’t really mean anything nor stand for anything. It’s just a stupid thing that some marketing people have come up with and I hate when it’s being used in wrong context (altough there isn’t right one for it). Just the same with the term "Ajax", it’s nowdays used for every Javascript effect or other flashy things when infact it’s only about tranferring data asynchronously in a certain format (was designed for xml at first, but it can be just anything), hence the term "Asynchronous JavaScript and XML" (ajax). Sorry again, just couldn’t help it.. please split this thread to off topic if you feel like it.
