Well, my second ex-husband (the Cuban) was in love with Japan, and tried for years various schemes to get into Japan, actually divorced his first wife when she refused to support his early efforts, got cheated badly by some "charitable" organization claiming if you worked in one of their US "territories" for two years you would be sent to their Japan "office", so he gave them all his money and volunteered for two years in Arizona somewhere...and that’s as far as it went. And, when I learned how to say "I love you" in over a dozen different languages when I was 14, Japanese was one of them, so I guess I can claim a tenuous connection to Japan, too
