I’ve been having a play with this idea this afternoon and I’ve got most of the changes implemented on a local install (about 90% of the manager is working fine off a different manager folder) Most issues are just minor tweaks to the include paths in the manager files. (some snippets/modules also use a hardcoded manager path as well so these would need adjusting ... eg. QuickEdit, WebLogin)

The way I’ve done it is to specify the manager folder in each of the two index.php files which is then passed to the documentParser object and set as a object variable, $modx->managerFolder. Then, it’s just a case of making all the include paths respect this value.

Another hour or so and I’ll have the manager 100% working under the renamed manager folder.

@Breezer: How far have you got on this? I’m actually quite interested to get this up and running, so if you want we can join forces.

I basically did the same thing, added a variable in the top of both index.php files and changed all the hard coded paths... holy cow there are a bunch. I have not even statred on the new 095, all mine has been to the 0921 version.

the only thing I can remember that stood out was how many places I had to add it in the document.parser file to et things to work...
