I would like to some some forum integration.

You have SMF, obviously but Wendy also started a Phorum integration and Paul started BBPress if I remember correctly...

big thumbs up for forums
Alright guys but which apps do you want ?
I remember someone is also working on IPB, but don’t remember who... The thing is, for this kind of thing (as for any feature request for extensions) you’ll have to convince (or find) a developper willing to code it and the core team sure does not have the time to work on this kind of thing right now : MODx core code is enough already
You have SMF. You have a starting point for Phorum and Paul has started BBPress.
I think it’s a nice starter !

There is also a quick "integration" of phpbb floating around the forums, I guess it can be found under "in development" section

Has anyone used Orca? Saw it a while ago but haven’t had anytime to play with it. Says you can set it up to use any DB for it’s users. It’s all AJAX powered though, tried the demo and it looks cool but think I’d rather use something more like vB/phpBB/SMF/etc.
I looked at the demo and in many topics there is just xml parse errors visible.. like
this.

Most urgent would be an update of the SMF integration.
Impossible is nothing - with ModX
I will like a easy way to tie front end forms (using eform) to backend tasks i.e more focus on the application framework of modx.
0.9.7 + newmanager + new website that’s less blogish. :-D
