New Forum Skin Now Live

Here’s a screenshot for you.

Thanks for looking into it

*edit*
I looked into the source code, and this is the path /forums/Themes/MODx09/images/dutch/new.png

As I mentioned before, the language in my profile is set to Dutch, but I can’t change it back to English.

WeBe, how did u change ur forum language in the first place? ...

It seems to be a SMF bug: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=325657.msg2169328#msg2169328

I guess I could select the language when I registered?

That was in 2006, quite some time ago, so I really don’t remember

I know of my own forum that you can switch this option on or off, so I guess it was switched off later.

I followed the example you referred to on the smf forum and in the English language everyting is indeed okay.

Unless someone can change the language of my profile, I guess I have to live with it :’(

Found another missing image, this time at the login screen.

See attached file.

Image path is /forums/Themes/MODx09/images/icons/login_sm.gif

I love the new skin, but I have one request... Could the Previous/Next links be moved (or copied) to the bottom of the posts instead of on the top?

I like using them to navigate through posts, but I must scroll back up to use them currently making them more or less worthless...

Thoose prev/next links jumps between threads and and not the next page in pagination. It would be nice if they said "previous thread"/"next thread" ...Ahh now when I’m used to it, i rather see it short!

Yep, that’s exactly what I use them for too

I just fixed IE7, please see and let me know.

Thanks!

Looks perfect. Thanks Zi.

And, yes I do use IE7 much of the time mainly because it has a huge share of the market still and someone around here has to do the IE7 testing.

It’s also faster than FF for Gmail and I prefer its search function to the one in FF.

Reminds me of the Dreamweaver forums, powered by Jive. It’s pretty neat!

Hey,

Just a tip, for IE 6 / 7 / 8 testing you can also download the free VPC images Microsoft supplies which you can run in Virtual Pc or Virtual Box (with some conversion).

If your still using IE7 just for gmail performance (would be weird IE which is faster then FF, are you still using FF 2 or installed alot of addons? ),
you could also try and use Google Chrome / Safari or Opera which are alot faster then Firefox in Javascript performance (which gmail uses alot).

Anything better then still using IE7 ;-) (Or upgrade to IE8)

Grz,
Stefan
