I think he prefers the new skin and would like it even better with the originator of the thread shown

Could we please please please bring back the google search? The internal search isn’t returning nearly the same number of results.

We’re looking at Google Search and also at Sphinx search. The standard search needs major work.

Might I suggest (if it has not already been done): Admin >> Search >> Search Method tab >> Custom Index.

It will take a while to compile, and it is likley to be about twice (or more) the size of the Messages table, but it is vastly suppior to ’no index’.

There is an SMF modification that apparently makes much more efficient use of the Fulltext option (I’ve not tried it), and has a few extra bells and whistles too, such as two and three letter word searches - very useful for a place like this.

Thanks for the 2009 forum skin, I appreciate the coordination with the modxcms site. I kind of miss my avatar though, which disappeared with the update, and cannot find a way to upload it again (tried legacy skins). It’s probably me doing something wrong.

As of now only dummy actors and musicians are available as personalized pictures. No biggie, but I feel a bit uncomfortable coming out like Freddie Prinze Jr or Christopher Lambert.

(Safari 4.0.2 and FF 3.5.3 on Mac)

I think there is now a minimum of posts set, that you have to achieve to be able to upload a personal picture a an avatar.
I don’t know the exact amount, but I think it’s about 45 or 50 posts or so.
