I don’t know where to post this...
But I really feel I need to say that the way the forum display is disgusting. I had a hard time to get into it, and it might take people away.

I would like to suggest to change a few things to make it clearer :
    - choose a font that is aimed at being screen read
    - make a 2 column display (I am in 800x600, and the left and right cols are larger than the actual posts!)
    - reduce (or remove) left and right margin (so that the column of posts size is more than 250 pixels)

I hope someone can fix this, it would be very useful

choose a font that is aimed at being screen read

We are using a standard font here ... nothing special

      make a 2 column display

We are in the process of completely redesigning the forums.

As for your post size issues this forum is optimally displayed on a 768X1024 or greater resolution monitor...

Ryan, maybe we could make an alternate theme available for those using smaller monitors?

Also, what happended to the printable link?

The font *is* special on my screen at least as letters doesn’t display right (have extra pixel on the corner in letter a, n, d, 6) and some are glue one to the other like te, da, uo, we, wh, th, etc... I would suggest using something like arial or verdana that is optimized for screen read

On the left col, there is only a few link that could easily push on the right one:

Everything fine with me here on FF 1.5 on WinXP (SP2 - both: "Cleartype" turned on and off)
Never heard of such a problem... do you have a screenshot?

            Greetings,

FYI, 800x600s are 1.61% of our visitors.

Not taking sides or anything, just stating facts grin

I think most of us designers / developers / whatevertechnicalinterestedguys have 1024+ ... so here in the modx-forum... I don´t believe it´s really necessary to build an extra 1024- template...

On the other hand... http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp... 20%? Wow...
                Strange - I don´t know anyone with a 800x600 resolution...

                just my two cents smiley

                • This template doesn’t play well with smaller monitors. Part of the reason I’m going to nuke it when we upgrade to RC2. That and it doesn’t really match the site now. smiley

;D I´m really anxious to see the new site i a monolithic look smiley
...and man... you know what? I think, even if you stop developing modx right at this moment... it would be the best platform one could get right now and a extremly mighty base system for nearly anything... perfect smiley Thanks a lot for your great efforts!!!

                    Best regards,
