Well, today I officially enter the "third third", turning 60. Kind of hard to overcome most of a lifetime of cultural indoctrination and not feel a bit low. On the plus side, it’s all downhill from here. On the minus side, it’s all downhill from here. This next third should be interesting. Will I still be working with Evo? Will I still have a country? Will I still even be around to care?
Time to order some new patterns from Butterick, McCalls and Vogue next time they have a good sale, and make some new clothes. I’m already knitting some really nice new sweaters and summer tops. Elann.com has some lovely wool/angora blend yarn; maybe I’ll add to my stash, not that I need any more yarn. And I even have a new pair of boots. Then all I’ll need is for the weather to turn more toward spring. As they say here, "ehiyah beseder" - it’ll be alright!

Ok, you talked me into it. I’ll give myself enough yarn for this sweater! They don’t really have a color in the wool/angora blend that reaches out and grabs me, but I’ve been drooling over this wool/alpaca blend in Thistle for at least five years.
