I am a bit angry at Apple for once, yeah it's the iPhone I am talking about !

I swore that 10.5 needed more RAM...maybe I was mistaken.

And yeah, I know about the 10.4.x releases. I just kinda "eh" on the frequency of the 10.x updates (it seems to go between 1-2 years). Just a personal thing, I guess.

Out of curiosity, I know that Bootcamp allows for WinXP booting on Intel-powered machines. Any idea if Vista works in the same fashion? Or if there’s a Mac w/ Tablet-support? I’ve been eyeing a nice HP Tablet-supported notebook for the last few months (all good specs for about 1599 USD)?

There’s three options for running vista on Mac hardware: Bootcamp, Parallels and VM Ware Fusion. As far as tablet support, none and I doubt you’ll see any in ’08.

Those greedy bastards at Chevy screwed me once again for being an early adopter of their cars.

I heard that Microsoft just heavily discounted the Zune, too. The general consensus seems to be that there will be a lot of Zunes under the Hanukkah bush this year, and a lot of returns on the 26th...

Of course that happens with a car. They need the money that’s sold from them, plus the enviromental agencies want them to reduce the emissions / etc.

I was just saying, with an Apple product (besides OSX), I dunno when’s the *right* time to buy it, since I dunno if it’ll just be a version that made the screen larger, or added new functionality that was *never* in the original one. Hence why I compared it to the current console/handhelds, which do have new versions released every so often, but generally just fix glaring issues or have more HD space. Or in Sony’s case, remove features from the original models.

Unless you have a really good reason, I’d delay putting Vista on any machine until SP1 comes out.

I didn’t think I’d start such a hot debate !!!
As a recent Mac switcher (over a year now), I know I’ll never go back to PCs.
Ryan has done a pretty good summary of it all, no need to add anything.

I am pretty convinced I’ll go for the iPhone and switch operator even though I don’t like being forced to. But, as Ryan said the phone is so superior to anything you can find that, well, you can’t just wait

As far as OS X is concerned, and Leopard in particular, I agree 100% with Scotty that OS X upgrade are not incremental and one fact is really amazing as Ryan pointed out : you can run new software on older hardware, and every new release is faster than the previous one (if Windows could only follow the same trend...).

They’re good, even more : they are (imho) the best.

When I stepped from XP to OS X I said to myself, well that’s 10 years ahead of Windows, at least... that’s OS like they should be : stable, fast, intuitive and not outrageously expensive
