Speaking of vista, does anyone know how long IE 7 has been in development? I was looking at the lack of CSS2 (and 3) support in IE 7. It’s embarrassing to see the world’s leader in software development can’t write a browser to comply with web standards that are 4-5 years old.

    MAC or PC:
I’ve been using mac for almost twenty years and pc’s even longer. For the same reason I don’t own a tv (huge waste of time,) I wouldn’t think of owning a pc. And, unless I had an extremely good reason for installing windows on my mac, (I’ve done this before with virtual PC and yes windoze does wake up on a mac) I won’t be wasting my time with MS windows either.

        More info here : http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.mspx
And the download on this page : http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/default.mspx

Oh didn’t see "Has been"... I’ll let the links it’s sometimes usefull. IE 7 has begin in february 2005. So more than a year and a half.

PS : But it’s still an RC so I think they still have a lot of things to develop !

The stupid part about IE 7 is that, even when it’s finalized, it will not have 100% support for all of the CSS 2.1 spec. According to Microsoft, it’ll likely be somewhere between 80-90% of spec. My question is...what’s gonna be missing? I’m not banking on IE 7 being all that great.
